"People decide to invest in a mural for several different reasons usually because they have a large ugly wall space, I have found that the clients who choose a mural over commercial signage have enjoyed the many lasting benefits that include press coverage, a new sense of pride to their establishment, as well as creating a landmark for their community." Lewis Lavoie

The St. Albert Alliance Mural St. Albert Alliance Church, St. Albert, AB, Canada This mural (18' x 40') was commissioned when the church underwent expansion that left them with a large wall that faced the parking lot. Inspired from a Norman Rockwell painting, Lavoie had many of the church members posed for the characters, encouraging participation in the project. He wanted the focus to be on the children in the foreground, engrossed in reading with the different books of the bible scattered on the stairs. Behind the children he painted the great stories from the bible in a dream like backdrop. The mural has been used for Sunday school projects, letterheads and program pamphlets. It is a landmark for the community and has attracted admirers from all over.

From a distance, everyone saw the portrait of Micealangalo's David but at close inspection the mural would dissolve into over one hundred and fifty small square paintings.
